Letter from Mike

Hey!

This week was pretty good, defiantly went by fast! Tuesday we had team ups with Poplar Bluff, (another area right by us) Basically we go there because Elder Peirce is the District Leader. Anyway I spent the day with Elder Wayment, he came out with me so we had fun trying to do things without our experienced companions. It was a pretty good time. Wayment actually lives by the Ralston's, about five minutes away in Far West, he said he knew Kelly, so that was cool. Then on Wednesday we had a Special Zone Conference in St. Louis, it started at 8 so we had to get up at 4 in order to get there on time. We had a member drive us up there and back. Good Man . . haha, But it was good we went to the temple and did a session, then we had lunch and headed to the Mission Home. There we waited for Pres. & Sis Turley to get there. They were at a doctor appointment. Then we talked to them a little bit, hung out with all the missionaries in our zone. Then we headed back to Sikeston. Right when we got home we went to Lamberts with some members. Lamberts is a pretty cool restaurant, they actually throw rolls at you! If you want them of course, but every five minutes or so there's this guy at the front of all the tables that yells "Hot Rolls" and if you want one you raise your hand and he'll throw you a roll from across the room and you have to catch it. It's pretty sweet, and the food is pretty good too. The first time I went there I got chicken fried steak, and it was as big as a Frisbee. I could only eat half of it and I almost died:) So ya that's pretty much what happened this week. We have been doing a lot of tracting because we need now investigators, all of the people we were teaching are either baptized or we dropped them because we can't got in contact with them. So it's been pretty lame. But we are making progress with the Ripley family. They are a family of five. We have been teaching them for 7 weeks now, so we have taught them most o the lessons and they think that everything we have told them is true, they have started coming to church the last two weeks, which is good:) So they will get baptized in the future, we just have to work some issues out first, like word of wisdom and chastity problems. But they say they are ready to change so I think they will.
